SBS’s new drama series Warrior Baek Dong Soo had a press conference on the 29th in Mokdong, Seoul. Yoo Seung Ho appeared on the conference and shared his thoughts about acting a bad guy in the series for the first time in his life.
Yoo Seung Ho plays the character Yeo Woon, a cruel killer which was abandoned by his father at birth.
Yoo says, “It’s my first time to act a bad guy in the series. I always wanted to act a bad guy but the characters that I acted so far weren’t quite “bad.” But this time, the character Yeo Woon has double personality; he is innocent kid with his friends but becomes a cold-blooded person when committing a murder.”
Asked by the question of what he was preparing for the role, Yoo says, “I’m working on the way Yeo Woon talks. I’m trying to talk in a low tone and in a charismatic way just like senior actor Choi Min Soo.”
Yoo added, “The character Yeo Woon is not a tough character, but more likely a “pretty-boy” type. I get ideas from the character that Kang Dong Won played in the movie Duelist because I thought Yeo Woon has similar characteristics.”
Warrior Baek Dong-Soo is playing on SBS began on July 4 at 21:55 every Monday-Tuesday.
