Actor Yoo Seung Ho has now 80days left to get a discharge.
While at the same time, behind the scenes, many producers in movies or dramas are struggling to get Yoo Seung Ho for the next role as Hallyu star, which is yet in military service.
A drama producer who refused to be identified said ‘we know that a lot of new scripts for 2015 are out now, thus the most suitable actor will be Yoo Seung Ho. That’s for sure. He has changed into an actor that is capable for the next top star in twenties in Korea. He was a child actor but it was hard for him to play a role of grown-ups for the past few years. However, he is about to finish the military service and his image will be shift to be an adult.’
The producer also said that ‘At present twenty-several actors like Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Woo Bin, Lee Jong Suk, Lee Min Ho, whom are waiting for the entry into the military service. Yoo Seung Ho will be able to follow them as one of the next top Hallyu stars. I’m sure not only dramas but also movies desire Seung Ho eagerly. Lee Jae-hoon has decided his comeback drama (called “A Secret Door” for Monday-Tuesday drama) before leaving the military, so producers are paying attention to Yoo Seung Ho what role he will take before his comeback next.’
‘Yoo Seung Ho will be only 22 years old after the military. If the other stars in 20s (as I mentioned before) enter the military, Seung Ho will be more important in Korean boom. He is a person with the quality, so Yoo Seung Ho is “the Irreplaceable Actor” of his generation’ he said.
According to a statement by Yoo Seung Ho’s agency San Entertainment to OSEN, the actor is indeed receiving offers for different projects including the film “Joseon Magician” (tentative title).
“The film ‘Joseon Magician’ is only one of the projects we received proposals for. Although it is true that we did get the scenario for ‘Joseon Gunman,’ no decision has been made yet regarding the project. We are currently receiving good proposals and ‘Joseon Magician’ is only one of the many (proposals) we get,” said the San Entertainment representative.
His work before the military was a role for “Missing you” of SBS drama, which were aired in 2013, Park Yoo-chun who played a main role. Yoo Seung Ho took rank with him at that time, then now he is known as the perfectly No.1 actor.
Yoo Seung Ho entered the military in Chuncheon, Gangwondo on March 5th, 2013 and he was assigned as a basic training instructor to recruitment division and transferred to search party, then he is working hard as a trainer for new members in the military now.
