[NEWS] 160609 Yoo Seung Ho In Talks To Star In Webtoon-Based Drama
Actor Yoo Seung Ho may be returning to the small screen through a webtoon remake!
On June 9, Yoo Seung Ho’s agency stated, “He has been offered the role in the webtoon remake ‘The Man Living in Our House’ (working title). He is looking over it and will make his decision soon.”
If he decides to take the role, Yoo Seung Ho will be playing Go Nan Gil, a farmer who has a past of being part of a legendary gang. He is only in his mid-20s but has gone through all sorts of hardships. He is bright but sometimes dark, cold but sometimes innocent. He has a kind heart with a life goal of protecting his family. Unlike Yoo Seung Ho’s last drama “Remember,” he will be playing a more comical character in this webtoon remake.
The webtoon writer for “The Man Living in Our House” is the same writer for “Flower Boy Next Door” and “Fool’s Love.”
“The Man Living in Our House” is in talks to air in October on KBS 2TV after “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” and before “Hwarang: The Beginning.”

[NEWS] 160605 Yoo Seung Ho Reveals Who He Wants To Be If He Were Reborn
Yoo Seung Ho declares that even if he were to be born again, he would still want to be himself.
The actor appears with the cast of upcoming film “Kim Sun Dal” on the June 5 episode of MBC’s “Section TV,” where they are given signposts with each other’s faces and are asked to raise the signpost of the colleague they would like to become if they were reborn.
Go Chang Seok and Ra Mi Ran choose Yoo Seung Ho and EXO’s Xiumin. Xiumin picks Go Chang Seok, while Yoo Seung Ho alone raises his own signpost.
When asked for an explanation, Yoo Seung Ho simply answers with a playful smile, “I just like myself.”
The actor stars in “Kim Sun Dal,” a thrilling story of a sly and skilful swindler who, based on the folk tale, has even tricked a man into buying from him a river he does not own.
Featuring a strong ensemble of diverse characters, the film is expected to premiere in July.

[ARTICLE] Yoo Seung-ho swindles his way through caper film Kim Seon-dal
The new Joseon-era caper comedy starring Yoo Seung-ho (Remember—Son’s War), Kim Seon-dal, is coming out this July. The teaser has just been released, and it’s hilarious.
First, we’re introduced to the titular hero who is bold, brash, and daring with a healthy dose of remarkable charm. Then we have Bo-won, played by Go Chang-seok (Kill Me, Heal Me), Kim Seon-dal’s partner whose quick judgment calls and masterful disguises have allowed him to escape certain death twelve times. And Ra Mi-ran (Come Back, Ajusshi) makes for the perfect swindler-shaman who uses her perceptive abilities to make her clients pay her a fortune for her “supernatural” talents. Finally we see the adoring fan/sidekick played by EXO’s Xiumin who idolizes (haha see the pun?) his savior hyung, Seon-dal.
In the trailer, we see Yoo fleeing the scene in all different types of getups, from the kingly ceremonial robes to a maiden’s hanbok. (Sad reality: Yoo Seung-ho in drag is more attractive than 90% of the female population. For a second there, I didn’t recognize him.) In the movie, Kim Seon-dal’s merry team of bandits join together to pull off the con of a lifetime: They’re going to sell the Daedong River.
In a feudal time period where property rights and water conservation are unheard of, Kim Seon-dal is going to get rich quick by selling the ownerless communal river. Well, he’s already fooled people into paying an exorbitant amount for a chicken by telling them that it was a mythical phoenix, so perhaps selling a river isn’t that much of a stretch.
All in all, it looks like we have a lighthearted fun movie to anticipate this summer. Sort of like Ocean’s Eleven meets Hong Gil-dong, Kim Seon-dal seems to be a refreshing comedy perfect for enjoying with friends on a sunny day.
