It has been recently reported that actor Yoo Seung Ho
may already have a project to come back to as he is finishing up with
military service. Recent news have confirmed that Yoo Seung Ho is being
considered for a role in the upcoming film “Joseon Magician.” On October 13, a representative from the actor’s management agency, San Entertainment,
stated, “It is true that Yoo Seung Ho is being considered for the role
in ‘Joseon Magician.’ However, he has not been discharged yet and we’re
just at a stage where we are reviewing possibilities among several
different projects. His casting is not finalized. He will be reviewing
the possible options once he is officially discharged.”
It was also later revealed that actress Go Ara is in talks as the female lead for the film. Her management agency, SM Entertainment,
also revealed the uncertainty in her casting in their statement, “She
has only received an offer. There is nothing concrete yet.”
“Joseon Magician” will be a film about a princess of the Joseon era
getting married off to China during the Qing dynasty. On her way there
she meets a young magician in a circus troupe and falls in love. It will
be directed by Kim Dae Seung, who has already directed works like “The Concubine” and “Bungee Jumping of Their Own.”
Meanwhile, Yoo Seung Ho entered the military shortly after the 2013 MBC drama “Missing You.”
He will be discharged from service this coming December. Go Ara, on the
other hand, is looking for another project after two dramas earlier
this year—tvN’s “Reply 1994” and SBS’s “You’re All Surrounded.”
